Marriage Encounter offers a weekend experience designed to give married couples the opportunity to learn a technique of loving communication that they can use for the rest of their lives. It's a chance to look deeply into their relationship with each other and with God. It's a time to share their feelings, hopes and dreams with each other.

Family Life "Weekend To Remember"
This conference will equip you with biblical truths along with practical tools to enable you to:
Identify the five most common threats to oneness in your marriage.Embrace your spouse as God's perfect gift to you.
Explore the four elements needed for the most satisfying sexual relationship.
Develop a personal vision and purpose for your marriage and family.
A "Weekend To Remember" will also:
Provide you with the unique opportunity to get away from the distractions of life to focus on one another.
Motivate you to take your marriage to the next level.
Help you develop a real and relevant plan for your family.
Reinforce the importance that your marriage has on the physical, emotional and spiritual life of you, your spouse, and your family.

* The Weekend To Remember Seminar is a condensed version of the Conference, containing eight of the twelve sessions. Seminars begin Friday evening and conclude Saturday evening. Weekend To Remember Conferences begin Friday evening and conclude Sunday afternoon.
Christian Couples Retreat
This retreat has become an annual tradition for many Virginia couples. Led by Pastor Eddie Pope (White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Dry Fork, VA) and Pastor Glenn Faulkner (White Oak Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Virgilina, VA), for over 10 years, the weekend is filled with love, laughter and learning.
The 2008 Christian Couples Retreat will convene on March 7-9, 2008 at the Sheraton hotel at 3501 Atlantic Ave. in Virginia Beach, VA. The theme for the 2008 retreat will be "Building Blocks for The Home."
It all begins Friday afternoon with drama and discussion, followed by a buffet dinner and games. Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there are workshops and classes on marriage. The afternoon is free time to enjoy your spouse and get ready for a gala banquet Saturday evening, with singing, awards, prizes, special music and preaching. Sunday morning includes Sunday School and a worship service of special music, preaching, testimonies and prayer.
The cost for the retreat is $400 which includes a $50 non-refundable deposit, two (2) nights lodging, a buffet dinner, a Banquet dinner, and a special gift bag. The $50 deposit is required for registration and the balance of $350 is due no later than October 1, 2007. Remember, your spot is only locked in after you have paid in full. If you have not paid in full by 10/1/07, you will be assessed a $25 late fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations made after January 15, 2008.
