Volunteer Opportunities with the Marriage Alliance:
Event assistance
Check in registrants; receive payment, make change, collect checks; direct participants to rooms/seating; hand out information packets, answer questions, make name tags, serve food, run errands, set up and take down displays, tables, chairs, etc., work MACV booth at trade shows, fairs, other events.
Phone contacts
Call potential donors, participants or partners; explain the purpose, structure and/or history of the Marriage Alliance; solicit information about the contact; ask for donations, participation or sponsorship; record calls in a computer-based or paper-based log
Material preparation
Fold, collate, insert, apply labels and/or stamps, other operations as required to prepare printed materials for distribution
Database entry
Working from printed or handwritten lists, type information into spreadsheet or database in proper format. Email completed work to MACV office.
Creative design
Create signs, artwork, drawings, displays; assist with PowerPoint presentations, website design and development
Computer assistance
Website data entry, error-checking and maintenance, database entry and maintenance

Required of all volunteer workers:
Maintain high ethical and moral standards appropriate to the organization
Maintain a neat appearance at all public functions
Commit to COMPLETE confidentiality in regard to ALL data and information
to which you may be exposed (you will be asked to sign a confidentiality statement)
Fill out reports, worksheets, timesheets, etc. accurately and honestly
Attend volunteer orientation program before beginning work
